Cats
Cat Foster Parent (CF) - This position involves caring for cats in your home when they cannot be in our Adoption Centers. Foster care is an excellent environment for us to learn an enormous amount of information about the cat, which helps the MatchMakers make the most appropriate life long match. There are certain requirements prior to being approved as a Foster Parent, including completing a Foster Parent Application and interview.
Training: Moderate
Shifts: On-Call
Personal Care Technician (PCT) - This position involves working specifically with the cats in our Feline Care Center. It includes maintaining the well-being of the cats by cleaning out their rooms and litterboxes, refreshing food and water, and providing much needed TLC. Completion of a daily health checklist for each cat is required.
Training: Moderate
Shifts: Weekdays, (M-F) 7:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.; Weekends, (Sat, Sun) 6:30 A.M.-9:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.

Dogs

Dog Caretaker (DC) - This position involves spending quality time with our dogs while marketing them to the public. It includes maintaining the safety and well-being of the dog while in your care, as well as answering general questions posed by the public.
Training: Moderate
Shifts: Weekends only, (Sat, Sun) 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.

Dog Walker (DW) - This position involves working specifically with the dogs while they are boarded at our Boarding Facilities. It includes exercising our dogs and providing them with love and companionship.
Training: Moderate
Shifts: Weekdays only, (M-F), Mornings and Evenings between the hours of 6:30 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.

Adoptions
Ambassador (RA) - This position involves educating the public about our mission and our Matchmaking Adoption Program.
Training: Moderate
Shifts: Seasonal
Location: Various
These Committees exist for RESCUE Volunteers who have been involved in at least one other area of the organization for a minimum of six months. This will allow you to build your level of confidence and experience with RESCUE’s overall policies, philosophies, animals, and volunteers.
Matchmaker (MM) - This position involves following up with a potential adopter by phone and conducting an extensive interview to determine the appropriateness of the home and the best potential animal matches. It also includes coordinating any subsequent meetings between them and a potential animal match.
Training: Substantial
Shifts: On-Call
Private Appointment Adoption Counselor (PAAC) - This position involves overseeing the face-to-face meeting coordinated by a Matchmaker between a screened potential adopter and the animal. It includes making the final assessment as to the quality and appropriateness of the animal match and finalizing the adoption paperwork.

General
Fundraising – This position involves working with a committee of Volunteers who are creating, implementing, and managing fundraising events.
